Marketing and Program Coordinator
New Mexico Children’s Foundation
Location: Remote (Must reside in New Mexico, Preference in Santa Fe)
Type: 6-Month Contract (With Potential for Extension)
Hours: 20 hours per week
Salary: $25 – $30 per hour
Position Overview
The Marketing and Program Coordinator provides essential support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors to advance the mission of the New Mexico Children’s Foundation (NMCF). This role requires a proactive, organized, and tech-savvy individual who excels in communications and technology. Responsibilities include fundraising, marketing, social media management, and administrative tasks, contributing to the foundation’s impact across New Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and Donor Relations
- Maintain donor databases, including gift entry, acknowledgments, and updates.
- Assist with direct mail and digital fundraising campaigns.
- Support donor engagement through the creation and distribution of appreciation materials.
Grant Program Support
- Support the annual grant program by tracking timelines and assisting with the application process.
- Collaborate with grantees to gather 6-month and annual reports.
Communications and Content Creation
- Develop and manage content for the foundation’s website, social media, and print materials.
- Implement a monthly communication plan featuring grantees using storytelling techniques.
- Design promotional materials such as flyers, postcards, and posters using Canva.
Technology and Marketing
- Manage email marketing campaigns via Constant Contact.
- Troubleshoot and address basic tech issues as needed.
- Ensure consistent brand identity across all communication platforms.
Event Support
- Assist in planning and executing foundation events, including occasional evening or weekend hours.
- Collaborate with freelance or contract event coordinators as required.
Reporting and Analytics
- Track and analyze marketing and communication metrics.
- Provide recommendations to optimize future initiatives.
Qualifications
- Tech-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot and learn new systems quickly.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, and Canva.
- Familiarity with Constant Contact, basic WordPress, and social media platforms.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Highly organized and proactive, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
