This program lets the children of El Rito attend hands-on classes in retablo art, book making, watercolor art, music appreciation and song writing. - Child Rite, Inc. — Taos — $4,000
Child Rite is the only private non-profit adoption agency in New Mexico that works exclusively with children with special needs. This will fund a family retreat for adoptive parents and their children. - Luciente, Inc. — Abiquiu — $5,000
This after school tutoring and mentoring program helps elementary students with their homework and teaches older students job responsibility and improves their abilities to communicate and mentor. - Zona del Sol — Santa Fe — $3,000
This grant will fund an after school program for about 100 students that provides a safe and creative venue offering bilingual monitoring and various art and science learning opportunities. - Art in the School — Albuquerque — $4,000
Through the Art of Architecture: From Tut to the Extra-terrestial program, an 8 page teaching guide “Treasurers of the Egyptian Pyramids” will be developed and published, as well as, workshops and lectures. - Canones Early Childhood Center — Canones — $5,000
This after school program provides quality child development services to about 50 young students in the Canones community. - Tri County Children’s Advocates — Taos — $4,000
The Sexual Abuse Program provides advocacy and therapy services to non-offending family members dealing with issues of child sexual abuse. - NM Suicide Intervention Project — Santa Fe — $5,000
Recognition – Treatment – Hope is a coordinated set of approaches for preventing youth suicide and suicidal behaviors in the Santa Fe area. - Luciente, Inc. — Espanola — $4,500
This Art to Boost Curriculum (ABC!) program now expands to the Espanola area and brings applied and performing arts that enhance curriculum development and student learning. - Otero and Lincoln County CASA — Alamogordo — $4,000
This grant will fund the Supervised Visit and Exchange program and will provide for a safe place for supervised visits between abused children and parents. - Camp Corazones — Santa Fe — $3,000
Camp Corazones is a four day summer camp (free of charge) for children from ages 5 to 12 that are affected by HIV/AIDS. This camp provides support, dialogue, family bonding and peer connections. - Working Classroom — Albuquerque — $3,000
Working Classroom provides economically and culturally accessible art experiences to low income middle school students through art and acting workshops, tutoring and GED/ACT/SAT preparation. - Santa Fe Teen Arts Center — Santa Fe — $3,000
